! am originally from West Palm Beach, Florida. I graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in History. After graduating I decided to move to Texas to be closer to family and to start my career in education. I went back to school and earned two masters degrees from the University of Texas at Tyler; my first is a Master of Arts in Teaching and my second is a Master of Arts in Educational Administration. In addition, I hold the following certifications – Social Studies 4-8, History 8-12, GT supplemental, ESL supplemental, and principal certification. I taught middle school social studies for 17 years and just completed my second year as a GT Specialist at Nichols.
My wonderful husband, Joe, and I have been married for 19 years. We have two beautiful daughters, Natalie and Jenna, who are both in high school and involved in a variety of activities.
